The 2026–2027 academic year marks the 40th anniversary of JOVIAT Culinary. Four decades of training culinary professionals and developing a unique approach to the profession, learning and the connection with the local community and region.
This milestone invites us to look back and celebrate the journey so far, recognise the people who have been part of it and strengthen the sense of belonging across our entire community. It is also an opportunity to look ahead and shape the future of JOVIAT Culinary.

40th Anniversary Events Calendar
Throughout the academic year, JOVIAT Culinary celebrates 40 years of history with a programme of activities connecting gastronomy, local heritage, learning and community.

Gastrorecup
Book your place here → Second-year students are once again taking part in the “Aprofitem els Aliments” (Making the Most of Food) campaign, promoted by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food.
The challenge is to prepare lunch using rescued food, raising awareness of food waste and encouraging the responsible reuse of resources.
Càritas Charity Lunch
A charity lunch supporting Càritas’ “Activa’t a l’Hort” project. Third-year Cuisine and Restaurant Service students take on the culinary challenge set by Càritas, planning, designing, cooking and serving a menu featuring ingredients donated by local businesses and producers.
Gastrofòrum 40
The 20th edition of Gastrofòrum evolves while staying true to its essence. As always, it will bring together leading figures from the world of gastronomy for talks, discussions, tastings and workshops.
Barcelona Education Fair
We will share our history with future generations of JOVIAT Culinary students.
GastroMar
An educational event dedicated to the sea and its produce. For three days, regular classes are paused to explore the subject in depth.
Institutional Celebration
An anniversary celebration bringing together local and national organisations and institutions that have accompanied us throughout our history.
End of Academic Year · Grand Celebration
Graduation, JOVIAT Culinary Awards and the Grand Alumni Celebration.
We will close the academic year with a meaningful celebration bringing our community together around three major events:
01 · Graduation
37th graduation in Cuisine and Restaurant Service; 31st in Pastry, Baking and Chocolate Making; 14th in Culinary Management; and 10th in the Advanced Diploma in Sommellerie.
02 · 20th JOVIAT Culinary Awards
Partner Company, Business Project and Professional Career.
03 · Grand Alumni Celebration
A gathering bringing together alumni, teachers and professionals connected to the school throughout its history.
